ENVIRONMENTS
The original version of the film involved a secret base in Alaska and a jet retirement home in the middle of the desert. The re-imagined story did away with the retirement home and instead focused on getting the jets off the ground and in the skies, had a high tech, hidden, X base built underneath a desert mesa and ended up taking us to an unstable comet, a space station in orbit of Jupiter, and eventually INTO Jupiter itself.
